The Directors

Please note that the Young Vic Directors Program is open to all directors at an early stage of their career. The only criteria for joining is that they consider themselves professional directors, are not in full time education and are resident in the UK. It is important that when using this list detailed references are taken up as presence on this list is not in itself a recommendation.

background: I am a director based in London with a particular interest in exciting ensemble theatre. I am the Artistic Director of theatre company, Tucked In. We make theatre for young audience. We are committed to telling new stories in interesting and accessible ways. The company has been touring with the show, Jackajack, for 2 years. Our latest performances were at the Rose Theatre in Kingston and the Lyric Hammersmith. We are currently developing a new show that we hope to take forward in late 2010.

I trained in Directing at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and since then I have assisted on shows with Bath Theatre Royal, Octagon Bolton and Bristol Old Vic. I have also been directing a number of Fringe projects in London. In June 2009 I trained on the National Theatre Directors Course.

Working with young people is also very important to me. I am currently working as Theatre Director-in-Residence at Eton College. I have had experience across 3 other youth theatre groups.
