Please note that the Young Vic Directors Program is open to all directors at an early stage of their career. The only criteria for joining is that they consider themselves professional directors, are not in full time education and are resident in the UK. It is important that when using this list detailed references are taken up as presence on this list is not in itself a recommendation.

My career is moving in several directions now. I have just developed a Live Art performance about a Zen riddle, MuDog (short listed for the Toronto Fringe 2005); my company has also successfully completed a fifth European Tour, this time a swashbuckling musical adaptation of Treasure Island. I have also had a fantastic time working on Opera, most recently co directing La Boheme for Handmande Opera, and I have toured extensively, as both cast and Staff director with Garden Opera. For the future I have a number of Live Art and established scripts that I am working to produce together with expanding an international work base. I have worked across all disciplines of theatre and this has reinforced my abilities as a director in terms of narrative story telling together with the production development of a finished piece. I have taught at Mountview, RoseBruford, BADA and Academy Drama Schools. My training was an established degree, followed by several months of Le Coq work. Whilst this has always informed my approach to theatre I am now exploring different imaginative approaches to drama.
